Please read these Terms of Service ("Terms") carefully before using MiTherapists.com. By accessing or using this website, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use this site.


1. About Us
MiTherapists.com is owned and operated by DirectoryOnlineSvc LLC, a Nebraska limited liability company ("Company," "we," "us," or "our"). We operate an online directory connecting Michigan residents with licensed mental health professionals. Our contact email is admin@directoryonlinesvc.com.


2. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing MiTherapists.com, creating an account, claiming a profile, or purchasing a subscription, you confirm that you are at least 18 years of age, have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement, and agree to comply with these Terms and all applicable laws. If you are accessing the site on behalf of a business or organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that entity to these Terms.


3. Description of Services
MiTherapists.com provides an online directory of licensed mental health professionals in Michigan. Services include:

  • A publicly searchable directory of Michigan-licensed therapists, counselors, social workers, psychologists, and related professionals
  • Paid membership subscriptions for practitioners to claim, enhance, and manage their directory profiles
  • Search and discovery tools for individuals seeking mental health care in Michigan

We are not a mental health provider, referral service, staffing agency, or healthcare organization. We do not match clients to providers, guarantee appointment availability, or verify ongoing licensure status beyond our initial data sourcing from Michigan LARA.


4. User Accounts
Practitioners who claim or create a profile must register for an account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to keep your account information updated. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at admin@directoryonlinesvc.com if you suspect unauthorized use of your account.


5. Practitioner Memberships and Subscriptions
Practitioner profiles are available at a monthly or annual subscription rate as listed on the site at the time of purchase. By purchasing a subscription you agree to the following:

  • Subscription fees are billed in advance on a recurring basis (monthly or annually) and are non-refundable except as described in our Refund Policy
  • You authorize DirectoryOnlineSvc LLC to charge your payment method on a recurring basis until you cancel
  • You may cancel your subscription at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period
  • We reserve the right to change subscription pricing with reasonable advance notice; continued use after a price change constitutes acceptance
  • Promotional rates and promo code subscriptions are subject to the terms stated at the time of redemption


6. Practitioner Responsibilities
If you are a licensed mental health professional using MiTherapists.com to maintain a profile, you agree to:

  • Provide only accurate, truthful, and current information about your credentials, licensure, specialties, fees, and availability
  • Promptly update your profile if any information changes, including licensure status
  • Maintain a valid, active license to practice in the State of Michigan for the duration of your membership
  • Not misrepresent your credentials, training, or scope of practice
  • Comply with all applicable Michigan professional licensing laws, ethical standards, and regulations governing your licensure type
  • Not use your profile to advertise services that are outside your licensed scope of practice

We reserve the right to remove or suspend any profile that contains inaccurate, misleading, or inappropriate content, or where a practitioner's license is found to be inactive, suspended, or revoked.


7. Content You Submit
By submitting content to MiTherapists.com — including profile information, photos, personal statements, and any other materials — you grant DirectoryOnlineSvc LLC a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to display, reproduce, and distribute that content on MiTherapists.com and in promotional materials related to the directory. You represent that you own or have the right to submit all content you provide, and that your content does not infringe the rights of any third party.

You retain ownership of content you submit. We will remove your content from public display upon cancellation of your subscription or upon written request, subject to reasonable processing time.


8. Prohibited Conduct
You agree not to use MiTherapists.com to:

  • Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent information
  • Impersonate any person or entity, including another licensed professional
  • Scrape, harvest, or systematically collect data from the site without written permission
  • Interfere with or disrupt the site's functionality, servers, or networks
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any account, system, or data
  • Use the site for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law or regulation
  • Transmit spam, unsolicited communications, or malicious code
  • Use automated tools, bots, or scripts to interact with the site without prior written consent


9. Directory Data and Public Listings
Practitioner listings on MiTherapists.com are initially sourced from publicly available licensing data published by the Michigan Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs (LARA). Unclaimed profiles display basic public licensing information only. By claiming your profile, you take responsibility for the accuracy of all information displayed. DirectoryOnlineSvc LLC does not independently verify the accuracy of submitted profile content beyond the initial LARA data.


10. No Medical or Professional Advice
Nothing on MiTherapists.com constitutes medical, psychological, therapeutic, legal, or other professional advice. The site is an informational directory only. Use of this site does not create any provider-patient, therapist-client, or professional relationship. If you are in crisis, call 988 (Suicide & Crisis Lifeline) or 911 immediately.


11. Intellectual Property
All original site content, design, branding, logos, and compilations are the property of DirectoryOnlineSvc LLC and protected by United States copyright law. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works from site content without express written permission. Individual practitioner profile content remains the intellectual property of the respective practitioner.


12. Third-Party Links and Services
MiTherapists.com may link to third-party websites or services. We have no control over and accept no responsibility for the content, privacy practices, or terms of any third-party site. Links do not constitute endorsement.


13. Privacy
Your use of MiTherapists.com is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. By using the site, you consent to the data practices described in our Privacy Policy.


14. Disclaimer of Warranties
MiTherapists.com is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. DirectoryOnlineSvc LLC expressly disclaims all warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the site will be available at all times, error-free, or secure.


15. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, DirectoryOnlineSvc LLC, its members, managers, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use MiTherapists.com, even if advised of the possibility of such damages. Our total liability to you for any claim arising out of or related to these Terms or your use of the site shall not exceed the total amount paid by you to DirectoryOnlineSvc LLC in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim, or $100, whichever is greater.


16. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless DirectoryOnlineSvc LLC and its members, managers, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or related to your use of MiTherapists.com, your violation of these Terms, your submission of inaccurate or misleading content, or your violation of any applicable law or third-party right.


17. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account or access to MiTherapists.com at our sole discretion, with or without notice, for conduct that we determine violates these Terms, is harmful to other users or third parties, or is otherwise objectionable. Upon termination, your right to use the site ceases immediately. Provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination shall survive, including but not limited to intellectual property, disclaimer of warranties, limitation of liability, and governing law.


18. Modifications to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Material changes will be communicated via email or a notice on the site. Your continued use of MiTherapists.com after any modification constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.


19. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Nebraska, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or your use of MiTherapists.com shall be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Nebraska, and you hereby submit to the personal jurisdiction of such courts. Notwithstanding the foregoing, we reserve the right to seek injunctive or equitable relief in any jurisdiction to protect our intellectual property rights.


20. Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, Refund Policy, and Legal Notice, constitute the entire agreement between you and DirectoryOnlineSvc LLC with respect to your use of MiTherapists.com and supersede all prior agreements, representations, and understandings.
